Most typically, our clients choose to schedule this service in August or September as these months provide the perfect conditions for your lawn to withstand the stress of the process and recover stronger than ever. Our Core Aeration Process
When we come out to your property to perform our core aeration service, we will follow a thorough process to ensure the best results. We will carefully run our aerator over the entire surface of your lawn. This machine will pull small cores of soil from your lawn, providing pathways for nutrients, water, air, and sunlight to reach the roots of your grass. These cores of soil can remain on your lawn, and as they decompose, will return additional nutrients back to your soil.
A single pass over your lawn is our standard service. But we can treat it to a second pass for even more aeration!
Combine core aeration with overseeding for even more benefits!
We recommend pairing our overseeding service with our core aeration service. When we overseed directly after your lawn has been aerated, the new grass seeds will fall into these holes, allowing for excellent seed to soil contact. This means that your new grass seeds will have a much better chance of germinating and turning into healthy, lush grass. While we offer our overseeding service independently, we highly recommend that you schedule it after aeration for best results. When overseeding your lawn, we will use a mix of Kentucky bluegrass, rye, and fescue seeds.
